Turfstorm collects nothing about you, we operate no server, and Turfstorm does not track you. The game runs on your device and there is no account of ours and no login of ours. Two things reach the outside world. Turfstorm shows advertising, which is served by Google, and Google collects things in order to do that. And if you sign in to Apple's Game Center, your Daily Drive score and your achievement progress go to Apple so the leaderboard can show them.
Nothing, and we have no way to. Turfstorm has no analytics, no crash reporting service and no user accounts of its own. Your league, your rosters and your progress are stored on your device and nowhere else. There is no iCloud container and no sync, so there is nothing of yours anywhere we could read even if we wanted to. The sections below are about what other companies collect, not about what we do.
Advertising is what keeps Turfstorm free, and it is worth being exact about how little of it there is. There is one full screen ad in the game and it appears after a game has finished, never during a drive and never during a play. There are no banners anywhere. Buying Turfstorm Unlimited removes that ad for good.
The ads are served by Google, through AdMob. There is no mediation layer and no second advertising network in the game, so Google's privacy policy is the only other one that governs anything here. If that ever changes, this page changes with it before the change ships. What Google collects in order to serve and count an ad includes:
None of that reaches us. We see a number of ads shown and an amount of money, and nothing about any person.
Apple requires an app to ask permission before it tracks you across other companies' apps and websites. You will never see that request from Turfstorm, because there is nothing to ask for. Turfstorm asks Google for non-personalised ads on every single request, everywhere in the world. There is no setting for it and no prompt, because there is no other behaviour: the ads you see are chosen without any profile of you, whoever you are and wherever you are.
One consequence is worth knowing, because it looks like something is missing. Turfstorm will not appear in the iOS Settings app under Privacy and Security, then Tracking. That list only holds apps that asked, and this one did not.
This costs us money and we did it anyway. Ads chosen without a profile are worth roughly half as much. The trade is that there is one less screen between you and the game, and nothing about you to explain away on this page.
In Europe, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Turfstorm shows no ads at all. That is not an oversight and it is worth explaining, because it is the opposite of what most apps do.
Serving an ad in those countries needs a consent form, and the only form Google will give us describes an app that uses your data for personalised advertising. Turfstorm does not do that, anywhere, ever. Rather than put a form on your screen that describes somebody else's app, we show no form, which means no ads. In parts of the United States you may still see a notice about the sale and sharing of personal information, which is a separate thing and is required where it appears.
If Google ever offers a consent form that describes an app serving only non-personalised ads, we will use it and the ads will come back. Until then this is what honest looks like, and it costs us every ad in those countries.
Turfstorm has one daily challenge, the Daily Drive, and a set of achievements. If you are signed in to Game Center, the game sends your Daily Drive score and your achievement progress to Apple so that the leaderboard can show them. Apple links that information to your Game Center player identity, which is how a leaderboard works.
On the App Store privacy label this is declared as Gameplay Content, linked to your identity, used for App Functionality. It is not used to track you, it is never given to an advertiser, and it is never sold or shared with anyone. Once it reaches Apple it is held under Apple's privacy policy rather than ours, and we see nothing about you: what we can see is a leaderboard, the same one you can.
Game Center is entirely optional. If you decline the sign in prompt, turn Game Center off, or play offline, every part of the game still works and your score is still saved on your device. The only thing you lose is the leaderboard, and the app tells you so on screen instead of failing.
If you buy something in the app, Apple processes the payment and gives us aggregate, anonymised sales reports. We never see your name, your payment details or your Apple Account. Apple also provides aggregate crash and performance statistics if you have opted into sharing them with developers. Those are anonymous and are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.
Turfstorm is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children and it is not part of Apple's Kids Category, which is a separate thing an app has to opt into and which we have not. Turfstorm is a general audience game and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either. Game Center sign in is handled by Apple and follows whatever restrictions are set on the device.
If a future version of Turfstorm introduces anything else that collects data, such as online play or a second advertising network, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the App Store privacy label will be updated at the same time. We will not quietly start collecting data under an old policy. The advertising sections above were added on 2 September 2026 for exactly that reason, before the version that serves an ad went to review rather than after it.
